Description

Currently LuneOS boots on TP4G but no WiFi. Implementing it should be fairly straight forward according to jcsullins:

Oct 13 05:41:10 <ka6sox> EricBlade, I will ask morphis when he is up.
Oct 13 05:43:19 <jcsullins> EricBlade: https://github.com/TLOIN-3X-WIP/android_kernel_samsung_msm8660-common/tree/tenderloin-cm-11.0-wip-5-bl
Oct 13 05:43:51 <jcsullins> that has 4G support in it
Oct 13 05:45:41 * jcsullins realizes he really needs to go back and properly "commit" those "WIP" labelled commits :)
Oct 13 05:46:36 <EricBlade> would that be basically from "tenderloin: add 3G support" through to "add sierrawireless_swi driver"?
Oct 13 05:48:45 <jcsullins> plus te "wip" after that and "tenderloin: port board_setup_S3A_1V8 from 2.6 kernel" is a 4G fix
Oct 13 05:49:01 <jcsullins> well, that should be the bulk of it, at least
Oct 13 05:50:42 <EricBlade> interesting. and probably more than i have time to figure out reasonably. ugh. i probably should just put together a Lune build system and power through it

Not as easy as it looks like. Our kernel (see https://github.com/shr-distribution/linux/tree/tenderloin/3.0/master) as a different origin than the referenced one. Someone has to sort that out and merge both or switch to jscullins one.

Eric, maybe something you can do with the help of jcsullins?

could be messy, judging by what Simon says. If they haven't diverged significantly from wherever they (our kernel and jcsullins kernel) came from, cherry picking those changes might get close, but I'll need to scrape together a build system, and see if I can get it to build. I'm stupid busy for the next two weeks, after that hopefully things will lighten up a bit.

This is something I'd really like to get working, because I am not wanting to mess with my main device, and my spare is a 4g. And I really want to try to develop my new app in Lune first :-)
